is there an easier way to do this in python 3?
in python 2 it was just print 'i am ' + str(asdf6) + '% retarded' but i'm having to jump through hoops to do it here

 No.1013398

>>1013397
f-strings

print(f'I am {asdf6}% retarded')

print('i am ' + str(asdf6) + '% retarded')

as you can tell from the code i really am 100% retarded
thanks again

 No.1013401

the curly braces can include all sorts of python expressions

like f'I am {50+50}% retarded'
and you can use all sorts of formatting

f'I am {50+50:b} retarded'

prints the 100 in binary for example
https://docs.python.org/3.8/library/string.html#formatspec

Anyways uhm… I bought a whole bunch of shungite, rocks, do you know what shungite is? Anybody know what shungite is. No, no Suge Knight, I think hes locked up in prison. Talking shungite. Anyways, its a 2 billion year old like rock, stone that protects against frequencies and unwanted frequencies that may be traveling in the air. So thats my story. I bought a whole bunch of stuff, put them around the la casa. Little pyramids. Stuff like that.

people say that but whenver i open an ide i get overwhelmed with half my screen being filled with options i dont understand and wind up wasting 10 minutes trying to find simple things like environment variables.
any time i've tried to deal with .net languages it all seems so confusing, every single function has its own file with some templated directory structure i dont understand, no idea what toolchain is being carried out when it compiles, it just all feels like a black box that they don't want me to learn.
when i do cli the workflow makes sense, when i run 'python test.py' the python interpreter is interprets the python file and spits out the output. i don't see how it can get any simpler and less overwhelming than that. when i work on a larger project i can look at the makefile and see everything that happens in compiling. with ide's i have to navigate through some labyrinthian ui just to peek at parts of it
